Oop! You got me. I haven't finished this page. Since you're curious, though, I'll give you the short and dirty version of my anime tastes. If you asked me in a conversation, what anime do you like, this is what I'd say.

Top of the list goes to Trigun for male characters who aren't horribly macho and over-sexed (Vash acts like the mental teenager that he is rather than a porn star) and female characters who aren't wusses. I like the mix of episode stories and overarching plot; I enjoy continuity among episodes and despise the 'afternoon cartoon' style of completely resetting the world after each episode. The animation has a neat style and the background music is good enough for me to pick up a CD of it. I have my beefs with the series, but overall it is pretty good.

Next up I'd mention Read or Die, except I couldn't tell you if it is the TV series or the other one, since I saw them courtesy of a friend of a friend, on his computer, no less. And I was very sleepy at the time. The main character is a nut of a girl with cool powers, and the surrounding cast is in the 'okay' category. The feel of the series is very much a neat and efficient, industrial revolution-style, British top secret organization (a little wearing at times, but that's their style and they stick to it to a T). The animation is lovely and the few episodes I saw are amusing.

At this point I'd feel obligated to mention that I've seen the 2nd (liked it) and 4th (didn't really like it) seasons of Sailor Moon (and enough of the 3rd season to say that I hate it). It's cute, they always save the day, and something about the animation strikes a chord with my sensibilities. I can't really justify why I watch it on occasion, since it's got flaws in my eyes. They stick to the formula episodes, every other Sailor Scout exists to get slammed around until Sailor Moon uses her ultimate attack, and the show is famous for its repeated transformation and attack sequences. Granted, they are cool the first few times, and that is the style of the show, but even I fast-forward through them after a while.

I'd like to say that I like Slayers, but I've got to acknowledge that I am angry with the series for being so doofy. I would prefer a more balanced mix of goofy and serious. I would also prefer that said balanced mix be applied to each episode rather than having streaks of silly episodes jarring with streaks of serious ones.

Eh, this is getting long, so I'll be brief. I think Cowboy Bebop is worth watching, I like the art books of Magic Knights Rayearth, I am impressed by the animation of Rah-Xephon, and I think Haibane-Renmei is cute. Oh yes, and I like Bubblegum Crisis (the old one and the new one), but I wish the animation were a little better and the plots a little ... eh, a little less "off the deep end."

The last thing I will mention is that I've gone to Otakon five times and dressed up four times. The costumes are (in chronological order) Nuku-Nuku, Sailor Pluto (with my sister as Sailor Mercury and our friend Hutch as Tuxedo Mask), Vampire Hunter D (with my sister as Leila, Hutch as Nolt, and our friend Joe as Baron Meier Link), and Larva from Vampire Princess Miyu (of which I've only seen a few episodes of the original series). Geek, right?! Heh heh. There are plans in the works to go as Umi and Hikaru from Magic Knights Rayearth for this year.

And, yes, this is the short version of my answer.
