Drawing

I have been drawing from as early as first grade. I recall trying to puzzle out an oriental dragon while I was supposed to be learning something about sheep. Thus began a long career of joint scholastic and artistic education. It explains my preference for drawing subjects without backgrounds and my preference for contour drawing. For the longest time I swore by colored pencils for convenience. I've switched my allegiance to computer art upon discovering Photoshop. Awesome!

Sculpting

I have been sculpting for far less time than I have been drawing; mostly because I lacked the wire armature trick and a hefty supply of clay. Still, a few summer courses at the local community college with dear friends set me straight. It does take far more time to complete a project, and I am so critical of my own work that it will be a while before I complete another statue. I am immensely proud of my 3D work.
