Photography : Birds : Flashy colors

An Anna's Hummingbird shows off his colors in the aviary at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. I was fascinated by just how angle-dependent the colors are. This is because the iridescent colors are not due to pigment but due to how certain colors of light interact (interefere) with the structure of the feathers.
