Photography : Flora : Proud Bird of Paradise
Initially I thought the name of this flower was ... weird. I like birds, and so things named after birds but which are not themselves birds throw me off my game. However, the more I look at the bloom, the more I'm reconciled with its avian nature. If this flower were a bird, it would possess truly a strong beak and a proud crest! Incidentally, this flower was outside the Keck facility in Waimea.
